Heating Engineers come out top in Government research

The Public Attitudes Tracker (PAT) survey by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has found that just over half (53%) of consumers surveyed, said heating engineers were their top source of information when choosing a new heating system or boiler.

Dave Cook at Baxi said: “For the overwhelming majority of consumer respondents to vote in this way, it really is testament to the hard work and dedication of our heating engineers and installers. We know and appreciate how hard you all work and it’s great to see that consumers recognise your skills too.”

Other report findings highlighted that 66% would only replace their boiler if it breaks down or starts to deteriorate, with just 12% saying they would consider a replacement whilst it was still working.

“While the results may not seem earth shattering, it does confirm the high esteem consumers have for installers. A boiler or heating system is a significant investment for households and with so much information available to people these days, it’s great to see that the installer still holds sway in terms of getting the right product and system specified and installed.”
