Training centres reopening

After what seems like months (hang on – it is months!), we are gradually starting to work towards something like normality – and we are delighted to say this includes taking our training centres out of mothballs!

After what seems like months (hang on – it is months!), we are gradually starting to work towards something like normality – and we are delighted to say this includes taking our training centres out of mothballs!

During lockdown, our trainers have been busy, making #LockdownLearning videos, answering your #BurningQuestions and writing content for new training courses.  We have enjoyed getting glimpses of their living rooms and gardens, and been amazed by their camera skills, and those of their families, who no doubt helped.

From July, we will be offering our range of specialist training courses and in August we will start holding our product training days.  These courses will only be available at our own Baxi training centres and, in order to maintain social distancing, there will be a limited number of places available.

To keep both our visitors and colleagues safe, we have introduced a number of procedures at our training centres, in line with advice from Public Health England.

  • You will be asked to fill out and sign a form on arrival to show that you do not have Covid-19 symptoms, that you have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms or that you have not been advised to self-isolate during the previous 14 days.
  • Social distancing (2 metres) will be mandatory and enforced. We can all forget this ‘new normal’ way of behaving sometimes, so please remind others if they forget and be respectful if someone reminds you.
  • Please wash your hands on arrival, and regularly throughout the day.We have set up antibacterial gel stations in the training centres, so please use the sanitizing hand gel frequently.
  • Our Training team will be wearing appropriate PPE, and will provide PPE for all attendees.
  • We will keep doors open during training courses to minimise the need to touch surfaces and our centres will be thoroughly cleaned at the end of every course.
  • We know our lunches are legendary, but, for the time being, we aren’t able to provide lunch, so please bring your own. Please also bring your own mug – we’ll provide the contents!
  • Could you also please bring your own basic tools and a multimeter if you have one.
  • If you develop any Covid-19 symptoms while you are with us, please tell your trainer immediately.

We are delighted to be able to offer a limited number of training places again, and hope you understand the measures we are putting in place to keep visitors to our centres as safe as possible.  We will review all these changes regularly and alter them if necessary, in line with government guidance or business need.

Please contact your local Area Sales Manager if you are interested in attending a training course.
