What outputs are the Baxi AquaHeat range available in?

Our AquaHeat HI/HWI heat interface units (HIUs) are available in two different outputs, making them suitable for different building types.

Our products are available with or without a Heat Meter and come with the Mercurius remote monitoring platform installed.

Outputs available for the Baxi AquaHeat HI / HWI 4/50

The Baxi AquaHeat HI/ HWI 4/50 unit is suited to smaller apartments and spaces. The unit is capable of providing up to 4kW of space heating output from a 70°C heat network and domestic hot water (DHW) output of 57kW from a set point of 50°C.

Outputs available for the Baxi AquaHeat HI / HWI 14/50

The Baxi AquaHeat HI / HWI 14/50 is more suited to larger apartments and houses, or properties that have a higher heating and DHW demand. The unit is capable of providing up to 12kW of space heating output from a 70°C heat network and a DHW output of up to 57kW from a set point of 50°C.

Baxi AquaHeat HI output

Our AquaHeat HI 50 unit is available in one single output. It is capable of providing a space heating output of 60kW with a heat network temperature of 55°C, making it suitable for larger properties that use a low temperature heating network.

Direct or indirect heating

In direct heating systems, the primary heat network flows through the HIU, directly into the dwelling’s radiators. This system can be more efficient overall, however it can only be used in network pressures less than or equal to 6 bar of pressure. Indirect systems maintain a hydronic separation between the heat network and space heating circuit, allowing for the system to operate at a higher pressure and is suited for high-rise developments or large-scale distribution.
