What applications are Heat Interface Units (HIUs) suited for?

According to the latest Technical Standard from BESA, there are 17 HIU classifications; this range of classifications cover appliances capable of provided heating, cooling, instantaneous and stored Domestic Hot Water (DHW). The classifications also determine whether the unit is “direct” or “indirect” referring to the hydraulic separation between the network and the end user.

Through these various product types, Heat Interface Units (HIUs) are suitable for both residential and commercial applications as well as providing heat for communal spaces.
