Does a Heat Interface Unit (HIU) use gas or electricity?

There is no gas connection required with an Heat Interface Unit, the energy required for heating and hot water is taken from the heat network. The HIU will require a direct electrical supply to operate is key components i.e. on-board controls, valves and circulating pumps.
