Overview of Engineering apprenticeships

We offer a range of Engineering apprenticeships, from Mechanical to Electrical, Maintenance to Toolmaking, CNC to Design and everything in between!


Our apprenticeship offerings range from level 3 all the way up to Masters degree level. There is something for everyone at all stages of their career development.


You will be based at our factory in Preston 4 days a week and attend College or University one day per week. These apprenticeships vary in duration from 3-6 years and we will support you every step of the way.

Baxi are proud to share with you our successful Primary Engineer programme, supported by some of our fantastic Degree apprentices who are introducing the world of engineering to Key Stages 1 & 2 primary school children through a series of engaging classroom projects.

Application Requirements

We are looking for ambitious and committed people who are passionate about developing their career within Engineering. The entry requirements in terms of prior qualifications and experience will vary dependent upon apprenticeship type and level, but the ideal candidate will:


  • Have a keen interest in Engineering & Technology.
  • Have the desire to learn and an inquisitive mind with interest in discovering more about scientific and engineering principles.
  • Be successful at problem solving, communication, information retrieval, and working both on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Be interested in building a sustainable future.
