Overview of Domestic Service Engineering Apprenticeships

Join us as we support the energy transition towards a zero-carbon economy! This field engineer training apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to learn from experienced heating engineers in the field alongside studying for your Gas Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard at college.

Application Requirements

We are looking for ambitious and committed people who are passionate about developing their career within the heating industry.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold or be working towards Level 2 Functional skills/GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths, English and Science
  • Be self-motivated to succeed in the apprenticeship with a real willingness to learn and a curious mind
  • We accept applications from all over the country, however you must be willing to travel to Birmingham and other locations for a minimum of 20 weeks over a 2 year period

James Watt College

Centre of Excellence 

You will study at James Watt college in Birmingham for 20 weeks over the two year programme. James Watt College are a centre of excellence for technical training and education, with a state-of-the-art gas engineering workshop.
