Enhancing boiler efficiency can be achieved through a number of proactive measures. Insulated pipes, for example, can prevent heat loss and your boiler system having to work harder to compensate.
Many commercial boiler systems utilise smart technology to maintain efficiency and effectiveness. Smart thermostats allow you to have greater visibility and control over the temperature in different areas of the building, so you can adjust your energy usage according to where it’s needed the most. Similarly, thermostatic radiator valves in individual rooms or areas of the building allows heat to be used where there is the greatest demand.
If you suspect that your boiler is coming to the end of its lifecycle, then it may be time to look at upgrading to a new model. Heat recovery systems are also an option to explore – these capture flue gases that would otherwise be wasted, and the heat is used to preheat incoming feed water.
