BDR Thermea - Baxi’s parent company has acquired G.I. Holding, a leading Italian HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications

BDR Thermea completes full acquisition of Italy’s G.I.Holding in commercial HVAC capabilities

We are pleased to announce that BDR Thermea, Baxi’s parent company, has completed the full acquisition of G.I. Holding, a leading Italian manufacturer of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions for commercial and industrial applications. The addition of G.I. Holding’s strong commercial portfolio, including the Clint brand, transitions Baxi into a full-service provider of fully integrated commercial HVAC solutions.

Baxi’s Commercial Business Director Shane Suter said: “With this significantly expanded commercial offering of heat pumps and chillers, Baxi has the complete portfolio and the commercial competencies to deliver full-system, solution-led offerings to our customers across the UK and Ireland – from education and healthcare estates to hotel and apartment complexes, and offices and energy centres.”

The acquisition is a key step in delivering BDR Thermea's Strategy 2030: Focus. Transform. Perform., which sets the direction for the company’s long-term transformation. The strategy focuses on strengthening its position in residential and commercial markets, expanding connected heating and cooling solutions, and growing aftersales services. A key part of this is the shift from a product-led to a solution-led approach, delivering integrated HVAC systems tailored to customer needs.

Shane concluded: “With over 10 years’ experience in large-scale heat pumps and applied HVAC markets, I look forward to leading Baxi’s commercial business unit in this transition which demonstrates our commitment to accelerating the shift towards a more sustainable future through the shift to integrated, low-carbon heating and cooling solutions.”
