BETA 1.5 PLUS - PEMFC

Baxi are at the forefront of fuel cell development for micro CHP applications.  PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrance Fuel Cell) technology is particularly suited to micro CHP applications as it operates at relatively low temperatures (80oC to 100oC) and as such it has rapid start up times.

Equipped with a supplementary heat storage device and an integrated auxilliary boiler, the BETA 1.5 PLUS can provide virtually all the energy needed in the home, round the clock, as and when it is required: that's up to 75 per cent of the electricity and 100 percent of th heating requirement - all year round.

The fuel cell unit is currently on extensive field trials within the European Union.
