The Baxi Bermuda range

What is a back boiler?
A back boiler is a small boiler fitted at the back of the hearth of an open fireplace or in a room heater to provide hot water and sometimes to heat radiators.

The Baxi Bermuda - simple yet effective central heating.
The Baxi Bermuda changed the face of domestic heating by saving valuable kitchen space. Sitting behind the fire or within the chimney breast, it provides for all your domestic hot water and heating requirements.

A gas firefront sits in front of the chimney. Baxi Bermudas are now fitted in nine out of ten of all back boiler installations because of the quality, reliability, and sheer choice of firefronts - from traditional to ultra modern. Since its launch, five million have been installed.

When you choose a Baxi product you're choosing home comfort, energy efficiency and design innovation.

Current Building Regulations and energy efficiency

Building Regulations state that any new boiler (whether or not it replaces an existing unit) should have at least a SEDBUK Band B rating.

However, where the installation of a condensing boiler would be impractical or excessively costly, exceptions to the Building Regulations may apply.

Simple installation and replacement

If you already have a back boiler using gas or solid fuel, it couldn't be easier to replace it with a brand new Baxi Bermuda, and your installer should be able to use most of your existing pipework.

However, always consult a CORGI registered installer to advise you on both the timescales and the level of work involved.

Is my home suitable for a non-condensing boiler?

To find out if your property is suitable for a non-condensing boiler, an assessment needs to be carried out under the Condensing Boiler Installation Assessment Procedure.
