Baxi Bermuda BBU HE Scoops Prestigious IGEM/SBGI Gas Industry Innovation Award

Baxi has triumphed at this year's IGEM/SBGI Gas Industry Awards 2010, winning the Gas Industry Innovation Award for its ground-breaking Baxi Bermuda BBU HE.

As the only condensing back boiler unit (BBU) on the market, the Baxi Bermuda BBU HE drew special praise from the judges who valued its high efficiency. They recognised that this product will "help reduce fuel bills and carbon emissions in over two million households which still rely on a back boiler to provide heating and hot water".

Organised by the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers - the leading professional Body in the UK for the Gas Industry and SBGI - the only Trade Association representing all sectors of the onshore industry, the IGEM/SBGI Gas Industry Awards 2010 celebrated significant achievement and acknowledge product innovation in the gas industry.

The Awards were announced at the Joint Gas Industry Luncheon held at the London Hilton Hotel on Tuesday 11th May and presented by National Grid Chief Executive Steven Holliday, together with Jeremy Bending, President IGEM and David Jones, President of SBGI. 

The Baxi Bermuda BBU HE is SEDBUK Band A rated, complies with Part L of the Building Regulations and provides a straight-forward replacement solution to existing standard efficiency back boiler boilers in the UK.
