Grants to help with renewables installations

There are various funding options available for renewables installations which you can read about on our grants page.  For householders wanting to install microgeneration technologies, full details of available funding can be found on the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform's Low Carbon Buildings Programme website.

MCS stands for Microgeneration Certification Scheme, which is a scheme owned by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC). It is designed to ensure that microgeneration and installers are tested to ensure the highest quality.

MCS was conceived by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and will be the universal route to financial assistance for microgeneration technologies in the UK.

Baxi Solarflo in-roof solar panels, Ambiflo air source heat pumps, Baxi Multi-heat biomass and Baxi Solo Innova biomass have all achieved Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certification. 

MCS has replaced the product and installer registration schemes (Clear Skies and PV programme) and is intended to grow the microgeneration industry.
