Frequently Asked Questions

Listening to your needs we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions with answers.

When should I get my boiler serviced?

Your boiler should be serviced annually.  The best time to do this is during the summer months when installers are not dealing with heating breakdowns.  Any Gas Safe registered installer should be able to carry this out.  Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain on 1 April 2009.

If I need a visit from a Baxi heating engineer, who can I contact?

heateam provide Baxi's aftersales service. To arrange a visit please call 0844 871 1525.

Where can I obtain a spare part for my Baxi boiler?

All enquiries received by our Customer Service Centre 0844 871 1540 are directed to one of our approved stockists.  Baxi does not sell spare parts directly to installers or the general public.  The interpart website offers a store location facility so that customers can quickly find their nearest outlet.

How much does a replacement boiler cost?

The actual cost of a boiler is likely to vary according to where you buy it.  You can obtain prices by contacting local stockists e.g. plumbers merchants.  You will need to add the cost of fitting.  For an estimate of the total cost you should contact a local Gas Safe registered installer.

What type of shower can I use with a combination boiler?

Most standard shower fittings will be compatible with a combi boiler.  If you have a multijet shower the water demand may exceed that of a combi boiler and you should check the manufacturers installation instructions.  We recommend that you always seek the advice of a Gas Safe registered installer.

Can you send me literature on a Baxi product?

Yes.  You can either contact our Customer Service centre on 0844 871 1525 or fill in your details online.  Click here to send us your details.

The hot water supply from my combination boiler fluctuates. Is this correct?

Depending on heat output, combination boilers can only supply a limited number of taps simultaneously (sometimes only one at a time).  Turning on additional taps will reduce the flow of hot water.  If the water is not hot enough you may have to reduce the flow (by turning the tap down) to increase the temperature.  This may be necessary especially in winter when the water supply to the boiler is colder.

Are grants available to help with renewables installations?
