Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating (CITB)
Duration: 1 day. Cost: £125.00

Who is the course aimed at?

It is now law in England and Wales that replacement gas boilers have to be high-efficiency condensing boilers except in a few special circumstances, therefore this course is aimed at heating installers and engineers who require greater knowledge of energy efficiency.

Heating installers

Heating installers with professional accreditation may join a self-certification scheme and so avoid having to involve Local Authority Building Control. If you haven't already done so, we recommend that you train for a Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating.

Consumers will have greater peace of mind knowing that their installer has been properly trained to provide a safe, quality installation of their new condensing boiler and that it complies with building regulations.

Customer facing roles

Anyone responsible for advice, design and installation of energy efficiency heating and hot water systems.

Aims of Course

  • To create awareness and understanding of the need to adopt energy efficiency measures.
  • To provide a practical framework to promote energy efficiency options to consumers.
  • To ensure holders of the qualification have knowledge of practical solutions to improve energy efficiency performance.

Suggested prior knowledge or understanding

Candidates will need to be experienced heating installers who have satisfied the Accredited Certification Scheme for gas related work.
