Under the boiler scrappage scheme Scottish homeowners are able to claim a grant of £400 towards a new SEDBUK (2005) >90% rated boiler and/or a low carbon appliance.
Simply by replacing a SEDBUK (2005) <70% rated boiler with a SEDBUK (2005) >90% rated boiler, a single household can reduce its annual carbon emissions by a staggering 1.2 tonnes.
