The Energy Saving Trust and microgeneration
Microgeneration is the generation of zero or low-carbon heat and power by individuals, small businesses and communities to meet their own needs, and includes:
- Solar photovoltaics (the conversion of solar power to electricity)
- Wind turbines
- Solar thermal hot water
- Ground source heat pumps
- Micro-CHP
- Fuel cells (an electrochemical energy conversion device)
The Trust offers consumer and community grant support for microgeneration technologies.
