2016 represents 150 years since Richard Baxendale formed the company that would become Baxi, so we’ve planned a big year of celebration to mark the occasion. We’ve been manufacturing our products in Britain since 1866 and, over the past century and a half, Baxi products have kept generations of families warm right across the country.
This year we want to take the time to look back on our history. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without having a few stories to tell and this year we have big plans to celebrate with our customers, colleagues and friends - we couldn’t have made it without you!
We’ve planned a whole year of festivities for 2016 - after all, it’s not every day you celebrate a 150th birthday - and we want as many people as possible to join in with us. We’ve introduced behind-the-scenes tours of our Preston factory - so you can experience the Baxi story first hand - and increased our Marie Curie fundraising target to £150,000. We’ll also be running competitions throughout the year for our installers and customers, as well as introducing MyBaxiStory - a very special campaign running throughout 2016.
We’ve met a lot of people since we started out in 1866, and MyBaxiStory is our attempt to document as many stories, pictures and memories as possible. Over the course of 2016, we’ll be collecting as many experiences as possible to help sustain our legacy as we look forward to the next 150 years. So, whether you’re a customer, a merchant, an installer or an ex-employee, if you have a Baxi story then we want to hear it!
