Baxi passes the test with CIPHE accreditation
Baxi has been awarded top marks for its three flagship training centres, becoming the first manufacturer to receive an Approved Training Centre (ATC) award from the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
The boiler manufacturer, which provides industry leading training across the UK, has achieved CIPHE Approved Training Centre (ATC) status for its centres in Warwick, Dartford and Warrington.
The news comes after a £250,000 refurbishment of its Warrington Training Centre earlier this year. All three centres offer state-of-the-art classrooms and workshops with around 50 'live' products designed to support learning and build confidence.
Baxi offers free of charge one-day courses, including training on boilers, heating and hot water systems, heating controls, Nest, and the latest Government legislation.
The presentation was made at Baxi's Warrington training centre by Kevin McCallister, CIPHE National President, who said: "As the only professional body for the UK plumbing and heating industry, CIPHE places great importance on quality training, and wishes those providing such services to be recognised.
"I am very impressed with the facilities here at Warrington. It's obvious from the investment that Baxi has made in its training centres and in the research and development of its products that it has the installer at the heart of what it does, and a passion for training.”
Steve Owen, national training manager at Baxi, said: "It is a real honour to be awarded CIPHE Approved Training Centre status. We've put a lot of work into developing our training offering, working with installers up and down the country to ensure that our courses are best suited to those who use them.
"We will train more than 5,000 heating engineers this year and look forward to welcoming many more through our doors as we continue to improve and evolve our courses.”
