Wicks 'not complacent' on fuel poverty

The Energy Minister has said he is not "complacent" about fuel poverty and acknowledged that the Government has been "knocked off course from our target".  Malcolm Wicks told BBC Radio 4's 'Today' programme: "I worry tremendously about the thought that elderly people could be cold in their homes in the 21st century."

Baxi has helped Bellway Homes comply with a late amendment to planning permission for a site of 286 apartments in Fenney Stratford, Buckinghamshire.  It required that 10 per cent of the energy demand came from a renewable source.

Brits Turn Green As House Sales Stall

A survey, conducted by UK heating and hot water specialist Baxi, shows that more and more people are turning their houses green in a bid to beat the housing slump.  The survey shows that 36 per cent of British homeowners would be willing to make environmentally friendly improvements to their property before selling up to ensure a faster sale.

Baxi presents its new micro-CHP unit, Baxi Ecogen

On Wednesday 5 March 2008, UK boiler manufacturer Baxi presented Ecogen, their domestic micro-CHP unit, to Malcolm Wicks MP, Minister of State for Energy.  Also present were Simon Green of Energy Saving Trust, MPs and Government representatives and senior personnel from environmental organisations, national housebuilders, utilities and the heating industry.

Baxi unveils micro-CHP - heating homes for the future

UK boiler manufacturer Baxi has unveiled a radical new product that will revolutionise domestic heating.  Micro-CHP is essentially a gas boiler, similar in size to a normal wall hung boiler, which generates electricity for use in the home while providing heating and hot water.
